When traveling to another
country, you will more than likely need to
charge your camera, phone and other devices.
To do this, you will need a plug adaptor that
fits the countries electrical outlet allowing
you to plug your device into the adaptor for
charging.
Thinking back, years ago
before the advent of mobile phones, laptops and
digital cameras, we would take a trip and never
have to charge a single item. We never had
to worry about foreign plugs and electricity.
The only devices we traveled with were our watch
and camera, neither requiring a charge. Today, we would be
lost if we did not travel with our Smartphones,
digital cameras, notebook computers and more;
all usually requiring a daily recharge.
Our advice is to
purchase individual plugs for the countries
you are visiting. Think about what
you need to charge and how many plugs you
actually require. Today, most
electrical devices are charged through a USB
Plug, so purchasing a multi-USB Plug
allowing you to charge multiple items at
the same time could eliminate the need to
purchase multiple adapters.
A note on electricity
voltage and current conversion
These are simply plug
adaptors allowing you to plug your device
into it, then the adaptor into the outlet
for the country you are visiting. They do not convert electricity. Most European electrical
outlets run 220V compared to US 110V. Be sure
to read the small print on your camera,
charger or device you intend to plug in to be sure it can handle 220V. Most
will, but double check to be sure. You should
find something like: Input: 110V-240V 50/60Hz.

Don't forget your device USB
Cables. As this is a
