Castle  Aigle Castle Saturday 29-Sep-2018   Pre-Trip Activity Notes / Checklist From the centre of Aigle, walkers follow the Grande Eau (the stream that rises in the valley of Les Diablerets) towards Yvorne. There are many pretty villages on the vineyard slopes, as well as the chateau of Yvorne. The path crosses the vineyards and returns to the northern outskirts of Aigle, where the rack-and-pinion railway climbs up to Leysin. Walkers continue to the 13th-century castle of Aigle, always a popular photographic subject, which is now a museum of wine-growing. 15-20 min. walk from Aigle Station to the Castle Place du Château 1, 1860 Aigle, Switzerland     Photos (4)
