Train  Return to Grindelwald Thursday 27-Sep-2018   Pre-Trip Activity Notes / Checklist Train back to Grindelwald - run until about 8p or so: free -or- Train to Wengen (5-10 min.) then cable car.... -or- Walk to Wengen about 1 hour - harder hike The section from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen is a great walk if you are looking to get your heart beating as it ascends most of the way. This walk will take you through the forest with glimpses of the Breithorn and Staubbach Falls cascading into the Lauterbrunnen valley. Starting at Lauterbrunnen railway station follow the path past a multistory car park, over a river and along chalets into the hillside. At all junctions there will be yellow way markers guiding you to Wengen as the trail zig zags its way in a continuous ascent through a forested track until you reach Wengen. As you climb your views become more magnificent as you look down into Lauterbrunnen Valley and across to the Staubbach Falls.     Photos (2)
